PRO-XYLANE™: Outstanding Anti-Aging Molecule
PRO-XYLANE™ is a breakthrough anti-aging molecule that stimulates production of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) such as hyaluronic acid and collagens I, III, IV, VII, XII and XVIII – key elements for skin firmness, elasticity and wrinkles reduction. As an active ingredient, PRO-XYLANE™ penetrates deep into the skin, targeting the 3 skin layers while also directly influencing overall repair of the skin.
"PRO-XYLANE™ is a game-changer in anti-aging skincare. By stimulating the most important collagens in the dermal epidermal junction and the dermis, it contributes to supporting the skin’s structural integrity for the long-term. Its ability to strengthen the skin's foundation, improve elasticity, and accelerate repair also makes it an ideal complement to aesthetic interventions," says Dr. Audrey Gueniche, HELENA RUBINSTEIN Global Scientific Director.
PRO-XYLANE™ is the key ingredient of the REPLASTY range.
Replasty: 1 year clinical study that prove PRO-XYLANE™’s Anti-Aging & Repair efficacy
HELENA RUBINSTEIN Replasty range is inspired by the insights of the renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Michel Pfulg and the experts of Laclinic-Montreux, with whom the brand has collaborated since 2008. The unique "bandage textures" of Replasty provide immediate relief for fragile skin as well as long-term anti-aging benefits.
One of the iconic products of the Replasty range is Replasty Age Recovery Night, an anti-aging and repair cream known as the “Black Bandage” with a concentration of 30% PRO-XYLANE™ solution.
Dr. Audrey Gueniche has presented the results of an unprecedented 1-year clinical study evaluating the properties of Replasty Age Recovery Night on 40 Asian women1 applying the cream once per day on their face.
The study showed an improvement of major signs of aging after only 1 month (Crow’s Feet Wrinkles -9.3%, Firmness +25.7%, Radiance +21%, Homogeneity +20.9%) and a significant improvement of all the studied items after 1 year (Crow’s Feet Wrinkles -19.8%, Firmness +54.6%, Radiance +37.9%, Homogeneity +52.5%, Nasolabial folds -20.4%, Ptosis -24.0%, Spots -18.5%, Pores -23.9%, Plumpness/Density +33.1%). Thus, it can be concluded that a consistent Replasty routine has a cumulative positive effect over time, that never stops being efficient.
Replasty: Supporting Patients Pre- and Post- Aesthetic Interventions
Another key product from the Replasty range is Replasty Eye Repairing Night Care also known as the brand’s “Eye Bandage” cream. Tailor-made for the sensitive eye area, the Eye Bandage cream is a potent ally for redensifying the ultra-fine skin around the eyes with a formula containing 30% PRO-XYLANE™ solution. It also combines four different grades of biotech hyaluronic acid, selected for their different molecular weights, to provide in-depth moisturizing and long-lasting efficacy. Furthermore, the formula is augmented by two soothing hero ingredients: Panthenol and Madecassoside.
Due to its high concentration of PRO-XYLANE™ and skin repairing properties, the “Eye Bandage” has proven to be beneficial to skin for pre- and post-procedure with proven results after Blepharoplasty.
A split-face study presented by Dr. Audrey Gueniche compared the Eye Bandage Cream to a standard moisturizing cream on patients undergoing blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery). Participants applied the assigned cream twice daily (morning and evening) to one eye contour for two months before surgery. Application paused for seven days post-surgery to allow initial healing, then resumed for another two months, twice daily.
Just one week post-surgery, the eye contour pre-treated for 2 months with the Eye Bandage Cream showed significant improvements in comfort, with a 12% reduction in redness, a 26% reduction in puffiness, and a 29% decrease in discoloration.
Two months post-surgery, the Eye Bandage Cream demonstrated even more pronounced benefits. Clinical evaluations revealed a 21% increase in firmness compared to the standard moisturizer. Impressively, 83% of participants reported a reduction in eyelid ptosis on the side treated with the Eye Bandage Cream. Furthermore, clinical evaluations indicated that over 60% of women experienced a visible reduction in crow's feet wrinkles and under-eye bags. 60% of the women self-reported an increase in comfort on the Eye Bandage Cream treated side. Ultimately, after the two-month post-surgery treatment period, all participants (100%) reported that the Eye Bandage Cream improved their post-blepharoplasty results.
Inspired by aesthetic procedures, to repair eye aging scars & reshape your eye contour overnight, Replasty Eye Repairing Night Care offers a modern way to maintain the visible youth of the most expressive area of the face and amplify post-surgical results such as blepharoplasty.
1 2021/2022 study on 40 Asian women from 40 to 65 years old (mean age 56) showing aging signs such as wrinkles, skin ptosis and uneven skin tone (including dark spots).
